Hey all,

I saw listed on Don Williams page that he installs Bomar sights on a Hi Power. I don't think I have ever seen a Hi Power with those sights on it and am wondering how it would look.

Does anyone have any pics of one that they could post to show it? I checked his page and didn't see one.

Thanks for the help.

Since Bomar is out of business, and has been for some time, any sights would have to be old stock, or the various replacement sights made for the sight cut.

Was it aesthetics, or mechanics, that had the Bo-Mar forward of the slide end?

Have a look at how high the P-35's hammer comes up the rear of the slide. The Heinie fixed rear sight for the P-35 has a notch machined in it to accomodate the P-35's hammer. There's a good photo of this at http://www.gunblast.com/LT-GarthwaiteHP.htm

You just can't do that with a Bo-Mar.

I just didn't like the idea of opening up the windage mechanism to the elements. It may never be a problem, but Senor Murphy has a room here and follows me around all day.

Just beautiful!!

Thanks for the pics everybody.

Feel free to add more pics of Hi Powers....I'm sure no one would object.

I never tire of seeing the gorgeous creations you all post here. I wish I had the money to afford them all.
