I am a new member and I am wondering why so many of the pictures are blocked?

I think that they were lost in a server migration.

Exactly so. When we changed servers a good many of the pictures from before January '13 were lost in a transporter room mis-hap..... very sorry about that. Some of us are building them back bit by bit but it's 7 years' worth of pics and that's a big task.
