A Colt Officers built for light weight and a left handed shooter. The gun was converted from a bushed barrel to bushingless. The slide was tri cut, high beveled and a high power cut was added. New sights are Heinie tritium up front and a very slimmed down 10-8 in the rear to match the tri cut profile of the slide. The frame was high cut and serrated and fit with a matching MSH. The magwell was machine beveled. A Derr Precision grip safety was fit and cut down as small as possible. The hammer is a Harrison Design unit tripped by an E2 sear and disconnector. The thumb safety is a new EGW sleeved unit which was flushed and checkered in the left side and bobbed on the right. The slide stop is an EGW also which was flushed and checkered. Grips are Alumagrips thin. The finish is a brushed hard chrome with matte rounds.

Different........

If I leave it at that one might wonder how I mean it. I mean: different and pretty dang cool! That is one dedicated lefty and you have accommodated him well. You went to a lot of trouble to lose the bushing!

I like it.

I dig it. Sleek. Not how I'd spec one but I like what you did with the lefty safety and checkering the offside. I think I'd want a more streamlined sight on a package like that. LOVE that grip safety! Love it. In fact I love the entire rear! The serrations with the carry rounded butt is TIGHT! (And everyone knows I love a tight butt...!) Great lines all around. This is one of those guns you want to pick up.

Curious if you've compared the weight of a stock slide compared to one you've triangled (same length)??

BTW Greg I'm curious to know if you have a Nicaragua connection. I had a very interesting trip there years ago.

I've never been into the Officers model pistols very much but I really like that one. Innovative and clean. If I were a lefty I could see me carrying that one. Excellent work.
