This Colt Commander, built by the peerless CT Brian in the 90s came into my life in a well used, somewhat abused state. I was impressed by how well the barrel fit and trigger job held up in spite of all the miles, so I set out to hopefully bring it back to a presentable state.
After talking to Mr Brian I went to work cleaning up the gashes, dings, and pits scattered on the gun. Fit a new bushing as the one that came in the gun to me was not original, fit and beveled a Colt slide stop, Fit a Brown thumb safety as CT would have originally, fit and refinished a set of Sarges grips, and lastly refinished it in the blue tanks. Last piece of the puzzle being a fresh front sight that I'm still awaiting. Anyhow, thought I would share.
