For those of you who were not at the Shot Show, I thought I would take a couple of the pair of S70 Colts Ted built at the end of last year. Hard to tell what is more impressive the case or the guns, tools, etc...Given a choice I would take the guns. A very classic pair of Colt Series 70 Government Model Pistols.

I few more enticing details.

Ted made the handles for the tools and the grips all from the same piece of CocoBolo so the grains all match.

Even the tools are nitre blued.

Steve, as nice as your pics are, they just don't quite do justice to that exquisite pair of Colts. If one didn't get to see this set in person, you missed a real treat! 8)

There's some serious talent and effort that's been turned loose on this project. Thanks for letting us have a look! It's been a pleasure to get the opportunity! :D

No problem.

I couldn't own a set like that without putting some rounds down range.

John Harrison is right. I got to handle these and drool over them courtesy of Ted at their shop in Tempe. The photos just do not do them justice.
And the tools and the case are just as exquisite and impressive as the guns!

On more than one occasion I thought, "I should buy those for my daughters!" However, I don't think I'd be able to turn those over to my babies--I'd keep them for myself. That is some display of craftsmanship, no question!

Be well!

"Wow" is an understatement. These are classics in every sense of the word. Someday I hope to be able to pry enough cash out of my hands to afford something half as nice.

As far as I'm concerned, this is also a great answer to "Why Colt?"

A pair of Springfields just wouldn't look right nestled in that box.

I am guessing these are one of those items that fall under the famous Rockefeller qoute "If you have to ask you can't afford it" I know that they are several times out of my reach
