This started off as a blued Series 70 repro Colt 1911.
I sent it off to Ted at Yost-Bonitz intending to have the 1* package done, however during the wait I decided I'd like to get what you see here:

The hard chrome on this one has to be seen first hand to truely be appreciated.

A shot of the nicely fitted beavertail and nice work on the safety and mainspring housing.

Another side shot.

I've found that these 2 make a great combo.

Big thanks to Ted and the guys at Yost-Bonitz. Also, thanks to Lou Alessi for the beautiful holster.

Man, oh man, Yo-Bo and Alessi. You sure can't go wrong with that combo. Congrats.

I don't know. The Yost-Bonitz guys arranged for that.

You won't regret it! It looks great and is much easier to clean.

Coburn,

That's a really sweet looking gun. Simple & effective is the way to go. Not much else to say except "congratulations & happy shooting."

Seeing all of these great custom pistols doesn't make my wait any easier.

Great looking gun. I would assume that she shoots as well as she looks.

Yep, it shoots just fine. Before the rework, I had a pesky extraction problem which has not returned since I have gotten the gun back from Yost-Bonitz. I am very happy with the work that Ted and Yost-Bonitz did. I highly recommend them.

This 1911 also has the Yost-Bonitz custom action components. The trigger is just perfect, IMHO. I love it.

Thanks again, Ted.

That is gorgeous :) I have a satin nickle S70 going into Yo-Bo at the start of next month that I was thinking of getting a 2 tone finish on but after seeing yours I think I will just have them hardchrome the whole gun

Coburn,

Glad to hear that you are enjoying your pistol. I really like building on the new series 70 Colt's, and this one was fun to do.

Best,

Ray

This is what I like about the custom market. You have 1 person working on the project. You won't see that with any of the semi custom shops.

Thanks Ray. Was wondering who all worked on this one.

Very happy with it!
