Tim,
You do some of the nicest stuff I've seen!
That is a beautiful gun.
Do you modify the grips yourself?
Ever have a big old chip break off? :?

Bailey's right! (You don't get to say that just every day! :? )

You should consider taking up this gun-grinding game as your full-time gig!

You are doing some really cool stuff there Tim! 8)

Thanks for letting us see! :D

Is that a Heinie magwell or something of your own design?
That is a magnificent work or art!

The detail work on the slide is outstanding and consistent with others I've seen of yours. Very well thought out and tastefully done.

Tim,

Another beautiful gun with your attention to all the little details that just make them superb.

I hope this isn't going to that JDP guy. He has way too many nice guns as it is.

Feel free to ship it to me first and I'll hand deliver it, after a few thousand rounds.

Nice blaster!!!!!!!!

Ray

Tim,

I am like a kid on Christmas each time I see a new one of your blasters. I noticed a few new "additions" I really like on this one I that I have not noticed on previous renditions. The arrow formation of the serrations on the top of the slide, The dual "American Borders" and the hand serrations on the slide stop add a very nice touch to a masterfully done piece.

I also thought that those cocking serrations looked a little deeper than mil-spec. Did you do that by hand or using a mill?

As for the "American (French) borders"...at least they were still our allies during THAT war.

Despite all those miles white-knucklin' handlebars that left to themselves would vibrate into the near-invisible spectrum, your hands are still among the steadiest out there, Tim.

The magwell is a new approach (to me anyway). Very subtle. Very cool. Very.... lotsa work! Tasty and very worthwhile on the functionality end.

Folks, don't miss this little gem: the serrated surface on the back of the slide, where the underside of the sight meets the slide, Tim didn't just let the serrations fall where they might. He went the extra step of making sure that where these two parts meet, was exaclty between two serrations. 'Stounding.

Dang I'm in good company here.

Tim,

I forgot to mention that you seem to be getting pretty darn good with the camera too. Has that Bailey guy been around giving lessons??

Ned,

Good catch on the slide serrations. I missed it the 1st time around.

Thanks to all for the kind comments. It truly does mean a lot when people are appreciative of all the work that goes into 'the build'.

Lemme see if I can answer the questions:

Keith - I think I'm the one who owes you dinner, if I'm not mistaken...

bryank - yes and no...... :?

Chuck - Yes I do the grips, and yes, I've ruined several!

Steve, John & Ned - If I gave up riding the Harleys, my brain wouldn't get rattled around enough.

aleaddict - That well started life as a Morris blank.

Ray - Nope, JDP doesn't get this one. He gets the next two.

Merlin - Blue

Bret - I keep tryin'.......

aleaddict - By hand. Good eye. BTW, as for the 'Borders', as Bret knows, I'm seriously thinking about changing the name to 'American Borders' so the 'surrender monkeys' get no notice.....

Bret - I can't get 'That Bailey Fellow' to even give me the time of day.....

Mr Brian-
There are two words that come to mind whenever I've seen one of your guns-
Crisp
and
Clean

This one is the same. I love it.

It's going to California, huh? Well, the California shooters have lost so much in recent years, they deserve to get something really nice.

There is plenty room in my house for more custom 1911s. I just need to buy another safe!
