Although Lou doesn't know me as a person; he does know my order forms.

I've had him make for me a DOJ for a 3913 w/ mag pouch, 3 Talons, and I have purchased a 45 Auto shoulder holster used from a forum member.

My Talons were made for a Colt Agent, a S&W 640 and my newest one for an SP 101. I ordered it in March of this year and it arrived last week.

Workmanship and function are flawless. The deep mahogany color is beautiful. And I always appreciate a holster maker who doesn't stutter when you say LEFT HAND.

Thanks Lou. I'm a retired cop who now works for a school district no new toys from anyone until school starts. Summers are fun but lean.

Bronco - congratulations on your new goodies, it sounds like Santa arrived early.

Like most of us, I probably own too many holsters (and all of them left hand, too). :D

The one I use more than any other is a cordovan Alessi PCH with brown shark loops for my Commander, on an Alessi brown shark belt, with either the cordovan dual mag pouch, or the cordovan mag/light pouch.

I liked this combination so much that about six weeks ago I ordered a black PCH for my five inch 1911s. And since I was ordering that, I realized I needed a matching black Alessi belt (they're really very nice belts). And while I was at it, I really did need a matching black mag/light pouch to go with the holster and belt. So if I was getting a new PCH, why did I also order a black CQC/S for my five inch 1911s?

Because I wanted to, of course.....and THAT's why I have too many holsters and related leathergear. My bank account will recover eventually. How many of the LTW forum crew can relate?

I console myself with the knowledge that between Lou Alessi, Gary Brommeland, Milt Sparks (well, Tony Kanaley) and Josh Bulman, they're all GOOD things to have. :D

Couldn't agree with you more about owning quality leather. After 33 years as a cop and a shooter I have two leather boxes of lefties.

Bought my first Milt Sparks rig ( a Gold Medal) for a Brng HP in 1973.

My next rig will be a Garrity Holster for a 3" 29 that I carry in the bush from time to time.

I'm beginning to like the exotics as I don't carry all the time anymore and I'm not banging leather gear on cars and consoles and desks and jail cells.
