As my 45th post here I thought this timely:

As LTW approaches its 1000 member let me propose a virtual toast to the
organizers and all who have spent countless hours maintaining this place and contributing to its furtherance. To the casual observer this may appear to be effortless benevolent fun. There is a great deal of work done by a small group and great amounts of respect and adoration by the rest of us.

To the ASLTW crew: take a bow and be recognized for a going concern that we are all proud to be part of. (Grammarians forgive the sentence structure.) :)

Cheers,

Jim Dowling

Very kind of you Kip, thanks. I may be on the board but I always feel like I'm getting off easy just working on the guns. The real work is done by the guys who keep the treadmill turning, the phones warm and the hands shook. I'll definitely join you in that toast. And to those (coming up on) 1,000 members and everyone else who has bought a ticket--- without you folks there's nothing here, thanks for the interest and support.

I never thought I would be able to establish genuine friendships with people on the Internet. LTW changed that idea. We have a wonderful, generous, warm group of folks here that set the "gold standard". THIS forum sets the benchmark for what the Internet SHOULD be about.
My hat goes off to all the folks who put in the time and effort to make this site happen, and all the folks who come to give of themselves.
We definitely have the best of the best here.

Fondly,
Jeff Harris (Jeffro)
