Just finished this one up.
Neither the owner nor myself can decide on the grips.....so he gets both pair.

PS, I like both sets of grips too. I'm a grip junky. You can change the look of a gun so quickly.

I'm with Toan on the hammer job, and zoiks, that thing ought to feed gravel by the looks o' the feedway! I see a lots of little "zones of perfection" that together make a really fine looking "gat" as Chuck likes to say.

RAJA strikes again!

So many little things come together to make a really cool gun

I especially like the reshaping of the rear sight.

I LOVE the checkering on the ring hammer. And the rest is just pure subtle elegance. You rock!

Deez.

I'm pretty sure that is a standard Heinie rear sight that he re-shaped, though I could be wrong.

Wow, very nice. If it was my gun, I'd pick the double diamond wood grips. :) There is nothing on this gun that I would change. The standard thumb safety is very refreshing. That rear sight looks like the original Heinie that's been shaved. Awesome.

Chuck that is totally cool. I hope you get to keep that one long enough to bring it to SHOT.

Thanks for the nice comments, guys!:)
I know the owner is enjoying them.
This has been a hard gun to photograph. In real life, it's jet black with a slight sheen. I took a few more pics outside that capture the color/finish a bit better.
It is a Heinie rear sight, modified.
The finish is Gun-Kote over park.
The grip safety is an S&A, recontoured.
The hammer is from Kings.....checkered by them!!!!:)

Chuck that blaster looks GREAT!!! I love that Gun-Kote over park finish. Is that the same blend as the gun you did for my brother? FYI- It is holding up very well on his.

Nice work
Mark

After I got my Springfield GI back with Gun Kote over parkerizing, I really became enamored with the finish. Had it done to a beat up 870 I cleaned up as well.

It seems to hold up very well and looks good to boot.
