OH MY MY!
Mr Rogers, the neighborhood values just took an upturn.
What beauties sir. The frontstrap-magcatch-slidestop treatment blend is simply amazing!
Why oh why couldn't I have married for money!

Beautiful, Chuck. Simply gorgeous. Your "identity" shows through in every piece - unmistakably Rogers at the top of his game!

Here are some better detail pics!
The camera does not lie. What looks perfect to the eye with gun in hand, does not look 'perfect' in magnified 2 dimensional images on the video screen.
It is.....what it is......:p

Rear slide serrations are my least profitable job.

This pic shows the minimalized right hand safety and the slot I mill in the back to aid in removal. The pre-cut pocket in the grip panel has been filled with epoxy and re-machined to fit the safety retention leg EXACTLY.

Mag well pics are coming.

Mag well is cut to 15 degrees and hand worked.

The well extends into the modified mainspring housing with NO feather edge.

Image

The grips have been hand radiused for comfort.

Let's see, 3 years = 156 weeks. At $25.00 a week almost everyone could afford one!

D@mn Chuck! I just came home from a long day of sim training to see these photos. I have not had a lot of time on the net lately but when I do get on I see these beautiful pics. I need to go wipe the drool off of my chin now. One lucky owner of these beauties. Looks awesome my friend!

Not much left to say but I have to agree with everyone those are unbelievable. The machine work and dehorn are superbly done. That mag well is beautiful Chuck. Is golf balling the underside of that slide stop a little like stacking BB's on an ice cube? :P Pure Rogers.

A few more.

Image

Here is the frame machined for the modified mainspring housing.

Image

From right to left:
Standard ms/hsg.
Legacy Custom ms/hsg.
Finished Legacy Custom ms/hsg.

Image

Standard beveled mag well vs. deluxe! Note how it is cut much further to the rear.
The modified ms/hsg's are available in blue or stainless from:
Stan Chen http://www.legacy-custom.com/
Previously I would mill a slot and silver solder in a block. It's a lot easier now.

Image

My preferred depth of feedramp. Approx. .400" as measured from top of frame.

Image

This will feed quite nicely!

All I can say is that a DIFFERENT Mr. Rogers said it best:

"It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood................."

Just stunning work.

Best regards,
Jeffro

Chuck:

It was a pleasure meeting you at the Shot Show. Ted Yost has told me on more than one occasion that your machine work is absolutely the finest available on planet earth!

While I certainly would never doubt Master Yost, whose own machine work, honor and integrity are indeed worthy of world class acclaim, these pistols are proof-positive of why the Master holds you in such high regard.

Best regards,

Jim Hill
