I recently acquired a cool little pocket gun. It is a "chopped" 2" Older model Charter Arms Bulldog .44 Special. It has had the bbl shortened to 2" and the grips changed to the smaller, J frame style grips. It is finished in a "camo" paint. It was built by a 'smith in the San Fran area that specialized in these in the '80s. The guy I got it from couldn't remember the 'smith's name. Does anyone have any info?

I'd like to have one of the Mag-Na-Port Bulldog Backpackers. One popped up on GA, but I missed out on it.

If it was in the San Francisco area it could have been Bob Chow or Bill Riley. Chow was a top notch smith, but passed away a few years ago. Riley is still around and does limited work.
