I decided to break out some of my older leather and share it with the LTW fans. All of these are from Uncle Loui from various centuries. He had been around a long long time!

I'll start with the 1911 rig and add some later for J-frames, a Hi Power IWB that was a government contract rig, and several for an ASP. Check back often.

If Jason asks me really nice, I'll get some photos posted of my Seventrees rigs, some marked prototype.

Enjoy this tribute to Lou. He deserves it!!!!!

As Lou would call me...

Robbie

Here is a 1911 rig that shows the influence of Gaylord and Seventrees.

Image

Notice the flare on the forward rear edge of the belt loop.

Oops, look what I found!

Here are three scabbards from Lou for a J-frame.

Image

These are great little holsters that do justice to Chic Gaylord and his Speed Scabbard design.

A really sharp eye will notice that the nickeled Model 36 has a wide target trigger. Remember when the magic letters on the box were TT, TH, WO RR.

Target Trigger
Target Hammer
White Outline (rear sight)
Red Ramp (front sight)

My how times change. Alex, what do you think. More to come.

Rob

Oh Rob you’re killin’ me!!! That’s great stuff buddy... that Alessi rig is priceless! 8)

Just as fair warning if I ever see them in person you’d probably ought not leave me alone with those... they may somehow miraculously “transfer” owners. :P

Give me a little time. But, while you wait, here is something else from Uncle Lou.

How about three different rigs for an ASP. Lou's copy of a Federal Speed Scabbard, a open top pancake, and an IWB rig.

Image

Gee, I wonder what L.F.A. is? Hey Jason, what is Lou's middle name?
Image 8)

The pistol is my personal ASP that I had converted from a M-39. As you can see, it is no safe queen and has been carried and shot a good bit. However, the leather is in perfect condition and never put on a belt. As a matter of fact, this is the first time the pancake rig has had a gun it it. The others have not had a pistol in them since they came from NY.

There is more to come but I don't want Jason to OD on the stuff.

This is a tribute to Uncle Lou, a true gentleman and craftsman.

Warmest regards,

Rob

Rob,

Just when I thought that I had all the holsters that I would ever need...
errr, better make that want. After looking at this thread and pics, I want to order a few more. Beautiful holsters, I should have bought more back in the day.

A little off-topic, but since you are showing an ASP and holsters for it.
Do you have any pics of a Theodore New York ASP that you could share?
All the pics that I have seen and have on file are of the later Wisconsin ASP.

Regards,
John

Pezzulli,

I have owned an early NY ASP but sold it last year to a good friend and used the funds for something else. The NY guns are very very rough after having an Appleton pistol. I checked my computer and I don't have any digital photos of the NY gun. Sorry.

Rob

Those look great and I can remember those from my early days as a shooter. What a trip down memory lane.

Here's one more. This is an IWB rig with Lou's Talon clip for a Hi Power. This rig is from a government contract for an agency that will remain unnamed.

If you have to ask, you don't need to know!

Robbie, Great photos, and thanks for posting them. What a trip back through time!
Thanks to all for those very nice comments also.
I must have been 14 or 15 years old when some of those early ones were made! HAhahaha...

Mr. Garrett... that's great stuff!!

I especially like the ankle rig with its pull-through security snap... and that IWB for the Hi-Power, I have one from Lou that is similar and it's a great holster!

Lou,

It was great to talk to you yesterday and to know that all is well. I'm glad the guys here at LTW like the old stuff. Wait till I post some of the early Seventrees stuff, some of it marked prototype!

Warmest Regards,

Rob

I originally posted this in September of '07. I thought it would be appropriate to bump it back to the top to share some very special rigs with the LTW family.

See you on the other side pally.

Robbie

I have a large collection of Lou's stuff, as I have known him since 1981. I sent some of my (poor) pictures to John Ralston over the past week or so, and will try to take some better ones. A few were pretty good, and if someone will post them for me I can email them.

And no, they are not for sale...
