Can you square and checker an alloy frame. ( Trigger Guard ), if so who can do the work ? Thank you. John

Wouldnt be a good idea, I think. The 7075 series aluminum are precipitation hardened (aged), and heating would cause the precipitate to go back into solution (if I remember correctly, its copper), requiring re-aging of the frame. Just forging the triggerguard to a square shape most likely would result in a crack on the guard. In fact, doing this on a steel gun isn't the best idea in the world from a materials standpoint.
I do realize people have been doing this for a long time with great success, but....

Lots of aluminum gets checkered every day. It will need some sort of corrosion protection, anodizing afterwords.

I agree with Bill. I'd pass on aluminum, unless the customer assumed the risk. I have done forged carbon, stainless and cast carbon (Caspian and Para-Ordnance) with good results, but I'd pass on the Al.
