Just pick up another custom 45 acp 1911. The gun was built by G. Madore. It has a Capian frame and slide. The real kicker is it has a 5 ported Capsian barrel. Mr. Madore has passed away however, I think he was best know for his work with Bullseye shooters. I have seen several of his custom scope mounts for the Hammerli 208.

Up until recently Caspian was selling Schuemann barrels. You might want to check there first.

pretty sure those were made by Schuemann.

Madore was a famed bullseye smith. I saw that gun on auction and figured it will probably shoot great!

Yep that's were I got it. I need to quit looking at auctions. It's getting expensive. The man said it was a pin gun. If it was, it has a very light spring. The spring has the tension used in a wad cutter gun. I thought the barrel would be a Sheuman but it says Capsian on it which really threw me. The build quality is good but a little plain jane, tight but not Baer tight.

Is George all right? I heard he had heart surgery and had kidney failure. He was on dialysis a few years ago. His name hasn't come up for a long time. If my memory serves me correctly, he favored Clark/Douglas barrels.

If it is a ported barrel..( hybrid ) , Wil Schuemann used to work pretty closely with Caspian..so there were some hybrid barrels marked Caspian..as Caspian did market them for awhile..

EER

Yes the barrel is ported. I'm questioning if this gun was used in Bullseye matches since the spring is so weak. I know from shooting bullseye some of the shooters shoot comped guns. If the gun was used to shoot pin wouldn't you shoot full power loads?

Les Baer uses Kart barrels that are marked Baer. IIRC, Caspian had the same sort of relationship with Scheumann. You could call Gary at Caspian. He is a great guy and could answer your questions for you.
